I can't place paper in the research table

It works, too, but you don't always get a Research note, so you'll have to be patient and/or lucky.

(NB. If you play on a server, you can scan other players with the Thaumometer. I don't know how the game determines this, but every time I did it, I obtained funny results. Such as, the one who kept dying because he always forgot to take food with him? He had the Victus aspect, and made me obtain the "Essence of False Life" research notes. ^^)

make sure you have scribing tools and paper in your hotbar and click on the research you want to begin in the Thaumonomicon and PRESTO!!! you have your research notes which you place in the research table and then you begin your research, happy thaumaturging

So... then what? I have the research page. I've got all the aspects discovered. How to turn the research into a discovery? 

Checked thaumonomicon, clicked every single icon at least 10 times, almost broke my mouse trying to place paper inside, had paper, ink and scribing tools in my hotbar, tried 5 times, nothing.

I think my post is the most useless one but...

You need a researching paper and it is found in the dungeon. 

Or you can trade with the villager in thaumcraft ;)
